he water restrictions rules have changed as of 2016. Why does this matter to you?
Before 2016 stage 1 water restriction was effective June, 1 to September 30th. In 2016 the water restriction will be effective May, 1 to October, 15.
In 2015 within two weeks stage 2 water restrictions went to stage 3. This is important as the trend will most likely happen again in 2016!
The water is being restricted is the municipal water supply system. It does not affect rain water, gray water, or any form of recycled water, and untreated well water.
The restriction will be effecting many locations such as Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford, Aldergrove , Mission, and Maple Ridge.
This affects you as a home and business owner because traditional do it yourself pressure washing for aesthetics will not be allowed and must hire an equipped professional. Equipped professionals know how to reduce water usage and have water recovery systems to reuse wash water.
During the water restriction only approved companies will be able to perform flat work cleaning such as driveways and walkways because they will be using water recovery. Same rules apply to paint preparation pressure washing because the companies will be able to perform the cleaning with using much less water.
