Exterior House Washing And Paint Preparation

Exterior house washing and paint preparation

Signs your house or business needs painting

Wood dry rot– caused from fungus in bare wood

Peeling paint– treat it early so you can protect the wood siding on your home

Renos needed– You are on a new adventure or a new phase in your life

Hair line or cracks in stucco– These cracks expose the wood behind stucco and cause dry rot

You determined you house needs painting … Now what?

First you must get your house washed and sanitized and ensure all the mold and algae is removed. This is done by house washing and preferably using a biodegradable detergent.

DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE OR JUST BRUSH IT CLEAN. Although the surface will look clean the surface will not be ready for paint because the algae and mildew spores are likely still present. Flaking is due to mold and algae spores and we have the knowledge and experience to help make your paint job last longer and save you money.

Who should wash my house?

You can either wash it yourself or hire a professional who soft washes using a low pressure cleaning system.  Professionals can normally wash a 4000 square foot house in just a few hours or less.
